An engagement ring does not a wedding make, and jewelry does not determine who you are or what you will become. Sometimes, a lot of things in our lives are loaded with emotional baggage, and this emotional baggage can drag us down. It can prevent us from moving forward, from getting a new job or pursuing a new career, or simply from continuing the jobs that we do so well. It can prevent us from reforging our identities. It can keep us from meeting new people or simply interacting with old friends.
So why should you wander in this dense forest of emotion? Why be weighed down by emotional baggage? One way for you to get rid of the emotional baggage is to get rid of the source of the baggage. If you can make money from that source, then so much the better! For instance, if you want to let go of a bad relationship or a bad past in your family, then chuck those heirlooms or put the engagement ring back where it came from: sell diamonds!
